Welcome to Taste of the Catskills

The Taste of the Catskills Festival is a family-friendly event that showcases the food, beer, crafts, and wine of our region. With a variety of vendors including farmers, value-added food producers, and restaurants, attendees learn how food travels from farm to fork during a fun-filled autumn weekend on the grounds of Maple Shade Farm, a family-run farm in Delhi.

Each day’s events will culminate with a dinner prepared entirely from local ingredients, paired with local beer and wine. Following dinner, a bonfire and barn dance will keep your feet tapping.

On Saturday the day culminates with a tremendous fireworks display sponsored by the Delaware National Bank of Delhi.

There are lots of kid’s activities each day. The activities will highlight life on the farm. The Catskill Puppets are on the grounds both days with their larger than life creations. This year the Catskill Watershed Corporation is helping us bring a wonderful puppet show from Arm of the Sea about the creation of the New York City water supply system.

Workshops each day teach attendees tricks for farming, cooking, brewing, and vintning.

This year we will also be hosting a Wedding Exposition sponsored by Morris Tent. If you are getting married or throwing a party, this will be a great opportunity to see the best of what our area has to offer.

Some great artistic areas of the festival include: showings of the Best Films from the Art & Soul Film Festival, a quilt show by the Delaware County Town and Country Quilters, a photo exhibit Bob Wyer’s Delaware County: Photographs From the Mid- 20th Century, and an exhibit from the Delaware County Historical Association, Ups and Downs: Railroads in Delaware County.

The main activities are held under tents and in the barn, so the show will go on RAIN OR SHINE!!!
